Summer! Oh, Summer!

My favourite months!

In June it is sunny,

in July it is hot,

in August it is warm!

Summer! Oh, Summer!

I love the sea,

I love the sun,

I go swimming,

I have lots of fun!

Today we went on a trip with my school

to the sea. The sea is calm.

The day is full of sunshine and the sea is

beautiful and excellent!

Two boats are floating into the sea.

The sun is up in the sky

and all the children

play at the port.

Ας παίξουμε...σκάκι!

Αυτές οι τρεις πανέμορφες σκακιέρες που περιλαμβάνουν και τα πρωτότυπα πιόνια ήταν μια εργασία που μας πρότεινε ο κύριος Στάθης Μαστοράκης, ο δάσκαλός μας στην ΣΤ' τάξη. Τα 6 χαρισματικά αγόρια (χμ...δεν είμαστε ψώνια καθόλου...χαχα! ) που εργαστήκαμε για αυτές τις σκακιέρες είμαστε...ο Σωκράτης, ο Παναγιώτης, ο Γιώργος, ο Βαλάντης, ο Θανάσης και ο αρχηγός Μαρίνος! Οι 2 από τις 3 σκακιέρες είναι χρωματισμένες με μαύρο και η μία με ασημί. Η βάση για τα πιόνια είναι καπάκια από μπουκάλια νερού βαμμένα μαύρα ή ασημί και από πάνω το μέρος που είναι κολλημένες οι εικόνες είναι από φελιζόλ. Ελπίζω να σας αρέσει!!!

Γεια σας! Είμαστε ο Σταύρος και η Σωτηρία, μία από τις ομάδες που έφτιαξε την παραπάνω σκακιέρα! Σκάκι παίζαμε στην τάξη μας όταν είχαμε χρόνο και μετά από λίγο καιρό ο κύριός μας μάς ανέθεσε να φτιάξουμε μία σκακιέρα. Για να φτιάξουμε το σκάκι αγοράσαμε φελιζόλ για ταμπλό, έναν ειδικό μαύρο μαρκαδόρο για τα κουτάκια και πηλό για να φτιάξουμε τα πιόνια τα οποία βλέπετε. Πιστεύω να σας αρέσει και επίσης να προσπαθήσετε να φτιάξετε κι εσείς μία! Δεν είναι δύσκολο καθόλου, αλλά σας ευχαριστεί πολύ το αποτέλεσμα που θα βγάλετε!

project on idioms 16-30 part two

Last month something terrible happened to my friend Susan. We are best friends. She works in a big supermarket. She is very good and everyone takes her for granted. They tell her to do all the work and she is the laughing stock of the shop. One day a young woman who works with her decided to make a joke to Susan. She was kind to her and secretly she put the nest-egg of the supermarket in her bag. Susan was surprised that the woman was polite and in a nutshell thought that there was more to this than meets the eye. But she was always above suspicion and never thought that they would say that she is a thief. Then the boss wanted to talk to her. He told her about the money and Susan was like a fish out of water. She swallowed her pride and said that she wasn't a thief. The boss didn't believe that Susan had taken the money and promised to draw the line. Now Susan could play it safe. The boss called the other woman and said that he would get even with her but he decided to leave her alone. It's the same old story, but we should start from scratch. Let's forget what happened and paint the town red!, said the boss. The woman apologized to Susan and they became friends.

I like computer games and video games and so does my best friend Tom. One day we went to a shop to buy new games for our Playstation. We had a small nest-egg. We wanted to go and try some new games at the local shop, in a nutshell, to paint the town red. We saw a new care race game and started playing there! Tom won me. He was excited and shouted and I felt like a fish out of water. Everybody was looking at us! An assistant then came and told us to be quiet! I swallowed my pride and said that I was sorry. " It's the same old story" I thought. I must draw the line with Tom. Then I started playing faster than him and I got even with him. I hit the nail on the head, because Tom stopped and told me to buy the game. We started playing from scratch at home but now we were playing it safe!

When you are young, you feel like you want to paint the town red, but unfortunately sometimes you end up being the laughing stock of it...It's usually the same old story..But that story took place in my best friend's house. it's Christmas holidays and everyone is joyous but my friend is looking at his nest-egg. " What can I do to make my holidays interesting?" he is wondering. " Maybe a party?" He knows his parents won't let him but this time he is really lucky. His parents are leaving tonight for Paris and they won't be around until next week..." So, I will play it safe", he thinks. "I'll have a party tonight". He starts emailing the invitations to his friends telling them to come along with their best mood. He will be offering the fun, music and refreshments. The party will go until early in the morning. He doesn't draw the line, he really doesn't care since his parents will be away! Later on, his parents kiss him goodbye and leave the house. An hour later his friends start arriving at his place. He is so happy because he is above suspicion and nobody will ever find out about it. The party begins and everyone is having fun. Time flies away and suddenly the door bell rings. " Who can it be? It's so late.." He opens the door and there they are...his parents right in front of him. "What is going on here?" they are asking him. " As we turned down the corner we saw all these lights and in the beginning we didn't want to believe it...but oh my God! You are having a party without our permission!" In a nutshell, he swallowed his pride and begged them not to punish him. "We do not know yet. You'll have to do everything from scratch, starting by ending this party immediately!" his parents replied. "We are getting the tickets that we forgot and going back to the airport. Be sure to do what we told you to..."
